Amanda Jaron, 2015 Leading Lady

Amanda Jaron

Owner, A. Jaron Fine Jewelry

Sparkly, glittering, golden—words that describe Amanda Jaron and the pieces she creates. Neapolitans who frequent charity events have likely met Jaron and admired her work, because she has devoted copious time, talent, jewelry and goodwill to myriad causes that support kids, education, cancer awareness and the arts, including PACE Center for Girls, the David Lawrence Center and United Arts Council.

In 2013, she founded The Glitter Foundation, a nonprofit to fund art education and art therapy programs in Southwest Florida. Currently, she is creating seven Golden Apples for The Education Foundation—Champions For Learning Golden Apple Teacher Awards. Jaron’s bubbly personality belies the savvy businesswoman at her core.

Before arriving in Naples 10 years ago, she designed for Givenchy, Tommy Hilfiger, Nine West, Kenneth Jay Lane and Jones New York, and later, headed jewelry and watch design for the $330 million international jewelry division of Avon Products. She sold her jewels on Home Shopping Network and at high-end retailers before launching her fine jewelry business in Naples, where she finds inspiration in the beauty of the Paradise Coast and enjoys beach sunsets with her husband, Stephen, and her kids, twins Alanna and Willem.

Amanda Jaron - A. Jaron Fine Jewelry - The Glitter Foundation - Naples Leading Lady

On the run: I started working out last year. I want to be able to run in the “I don’t Sweat, I Sparkle” Glitter 5K to benefit The Glitter Foundation.

Personal style: Bling! Bling! Bling!

Words to live by: “You eat an elephant one bite at a time.” Most people are paralyzed when looking at the big picture. Just jump and take small bites. The rest will follow.

Guilty pleasure: Pizza; I could eat pizza every single day!

What to bring to a desert island: Chocolate, Champagne and lead crystal flutes. It would be paradise to sit on the beach drinking cold bubbly, eating chocolate and watching the rainbow flashing off the glasses.

Fashion essentials: Workout wear.

My new obsession: lululemon athletica leggings and sneakers. I have found an appreciation for sneakers; the only pair I had for years was Roberto Cavalli sneakers. Now, I am actually looking at athletic shoes with a fashion eye.
