Rasai L. Ernst, M.D., is board-certified in family medicine and aesthetic medicine. She has been practicing medicine for the past seven years and treats patients across the spectrum — from newborns to geriatrics.
Although she treats many conditions ranging from high blood pressure to weight loss, the cornerstone of her practice is preventative medicine. Dr. Ernst takes the time to explain to her patients how important it is to follow a healthy lifestyle such as staying current on
immunizations, skin cancer prevention, and personalized medicine. “I am approachable and connect with patients in a way they may not have experienced before. I think this is comforting to patients,” Dr. Ernst says.
Dr. Ernst also serves as director of the NCH Medical Spa, which provides cosmetic and skin care services. “I went into aesthetic medicine because I’m so interested in preventative care. People want to look as good as they feel, so it was a natural pairing with my practice,” she says.
The Spa offers facial and body treatments, wrinkle relaxing injections, dermaplaning, wrinkle filler injections, microneedling, medical facial peels, and make-up application.
All new patients at the Spa attend an initial consultation where they undergo a Visia© Skin Analysis, an advanced imaging system that shows what elements of skin care will best benefit each patient. Afterwards, patients meet with Dr. Ernst to discuss a customized skin care plan. “It is very satisfying to help advance their health and appearance. Aesthetic medicine is kind of a cherry on the top. I’m so proud that we are able to provide a comprehensive wellness approach,” she says.
