Dinosaurs & More Come to Naples

Dinosaur Skulls with the Dinosaur Museum Traveling Exhibit - Dinosaur George Live - COllier County Museum

Part of the Dinosaur Museum Traveling Exhibit’s collection of prehistoric skulls.

A jurassic world is coming to Naples, but in a totally safe, and educational, sort of way. For three days, September 17-19, Collier County Museum welcomes George Blasing for “Dinosaur George Live” and “Dinosaur Museum Traveling Exhibit,” on display at the North Collier Regional Park exhibition hall.

A self-taught paleontologist and animal behaviorist, “Dinosaur” George Blasing has spent more than 35 years studying and researching these prehistoric animals and the time in which they roamed. With a built-in curriculum for children grades kindergarten through sixth, the traveling exhibit takes guests on a guided tour of prehistory, learning about the animals and environments that thrived on earth millions of years ago. Following the guided portion, children can then don the pith helmet and embark upon a scavenger hunt, searching for clues millions of years in the making. As fun as it is educational, kids and parents can’t help but learn a thing or two at this exhibit, making for a great way start the school year and encourage creative learning. More than 150 items and fossils will be on display, from huge bones to a magnificent collection of skulls from prehistoric creatures, including crowd pleasers, the indomitable Tyrannosaurus Rex and the great saber-toothed tiger.
