Dali & da Vinci: Minds, Machines & Masterpieces

The show features more than 75 works and reproductions, including reproductions of da Vinci diagrams, Dali manuscripts and paintings from the permanent collection, and reproductions of the invented objects both da Vinci and Dalí proposed in advance of their times.

In The Dali’s Student Surrealist Art Exhibits, students explore a variety of media such as drawing, collage, watercolor, acrylic, digital photography and mixed media.

Dali Revealed – Candid Moments from the Artist’s Life

May 19, 2015 to May 19, 2016  10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
This special exhibition will include 48 archival photographs taken by French photographer Robert Descharnes, a close friend and confidant of Dali’s from 1950 through the end of his life in 1989 (Mr. Descharnes passed away in 2014). The images reveal candid moments of the artist in his studio and at various locales in and around Spain. The photographs have not been on view in more than ten years. The exhibit will open with a revealing three day behind-the-scenes element that will present the framing of these works within the gallery space prior to their installation.

Coffee with a Curator – Dirk Armstrong: “Dali Revealed”

The Dali Museum
Coffee with a Curator is a focused, theme-oriented presentation on a variety of Dali-related topics. The talk is presented by one of the Dali Museum’s Curatorial/Education team or an invited speaker. Dirk Armstrong, Dali Museum Assistant Curator and curator of the new exhibit, “Dali Revealed” will discuss this exhibition of photographs by the late Robert Descharnes. Mr. Descarnes, French photographer and close friend and confident of Dali’s from 1950 – 1989, documented candid moments of the artist in his studio and at various locales in and around Spain.

Junior Docent Summer Camp

June 15 to August 7, 2015  9:30 AM - 3:30 PM
The Dali Museum
The Dali's Junior Docent Program is a summer camp offered to children ages 9-15. This one-week program encourages students to express their own ideas about Dali’s art, while sharing knowledge gained about Dali on a tour for their families and for the public. Students build a foundation in art by learning how to look at and talk about art through the Dali collection.
