Specializing in couture pet clothing and accessories, dog treats, organic spa products, and a seemingly endless selection of designer collars and leashes, Pucci & Catana is the luxury pet retailer in Naples. The concept stems from owner Laura Scouller’s love for animals and a lifelong desire to open a boutique of her own. “I have always loved the idea of opening a pet boutique in Naples, my second home,” says Scouller, who with her husband Dr. Richard Maser runs a large veterinarian practice outside of Toronto and a non-profit dog rescue called Coconut Retrievers, which rescues dogs from St. Maarten and brings them back to North America to find a permanent homes.
Pucci & Catana has no end of luxury products for your pampered pet. With clothing (sizes ranging from pint-sized pooches to gorilla-sized mastiffs), beds, chaises, designer pet carriers and luggage, and what can only be described as designer dog chateaus, Pucci & Catana carries sought after labels and brands that in hot demand, even in the human market. Browse through names like Roberto Cavalli, Gucci Pet, Burberry Pet, BowHaus NYC, Dean & Tyler, Unleashed Life, Hartman & Rose, among others. And with 27 animals at Scouller’s home—seven dogs, eight cats, 11 horses and one donkey, all rescued of course—there is no doubt that each product has passed the stringiest of testing. “We have so many animals that it is not hard finding one of our pet’s seal of approval,” says Scouller.
The showroom floor overflows with treats and goodies, which makes bringing your pet in for a day of shopping either hilarious or daunting, picture a four-year-old at Toys “R” Us. Make sure to check out the store for the latest spring looks to keep your pet fashion forward this season, and always check in to see if there are any dogs looking for homes through the Coconut Retriever foundation, because, as Laura always says, “true love is rescued.”
