Naples Tomato’s Wednesday Night Party
Naples Tomato (14700 Tamiami Trail North, Naples, 239-598-9800, naplestomato.com) perks up the middle of week with “Winesday,” an event inspired by its Enomatic self-serving wine system, which offers 48 selections in one, three or six ounce tastes.
On Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m., wine, beer and cocktails are half price, and an additional 25 percent is added to all Enomatic wine cards purchased. The Heather Brooks Band plays live music until 8:30.
Naples Tomato recently unveiled a signature cocktail menu created by master mixologist Arturo Sighinolfi—such as the cucumber martini and strawberry basil daiquiri—using fresh fruit and vegetables from the kitchen.
Dinner is served in the dining room or newly opened sunroom and terrace.
While there, try of the restaurant’s most popular items, a dessert that creatively uses already decadent Krispy Kreme donuts:
Naples Tomato Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding
1 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts
2 eggs
1 cup heavy cream
¼ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Cut donuts into ¼-inch pieces. Mix eggs, cream, sugar and vanilla in a bowl. Mix in donut pieces until most of the moisture is absorbed. Place in 3-inch buttered ramekins. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for about 40 minutes, until the pudding starts to rise and tops are brown. Serve with sliced strawberries, vanilla ice cream, strawberry syrup and whipped cream.
