Whodunnit?

On December 1, from 12 to 7 p.m. the Ritz-Carlton South Beach, celebrity designers, and established and emerging artists from Miami and around the world will host an one-of-a-kind exhibit at Art Basel.

The 8th edition of the Master’s Mystery Art Show (MMAS), which raises funds for the Florida International University Master’s in Fine Arts Program, is an artistic “whodunnit.” Original 6×9-inch works of art are created by renowned artists and signed only on the back to reveal the name after their sale. In addition to these pieces of art, this year some of the world’s top fashion designers are using white T-shirts as their canvases to create wearable art that will be auctioned off. Some of this year’s fashion designers include: Romero Britto, Peruvian born Eduardo de las Casas, Mexico’s Pineda Covalin, former head designer for Bill Blass and Perry Ellis Jacqueline Quinn, and Julian Chang, among others.

Each work of art is $50 and the bidding for the T-shirts will begin at $50. Who knows–you could end up with something that is (or will be) far more valuable, and have fun in the process.
