Hit the Links: Golfing for Kids and Adults in Jupiter

For the golfer with family in tow, Jupiter now has a mini-golf course along A1A near the Jupiter inlet. Lighthouse Cove Adventure Golf is 36 holes of pure putt-putt fun for ages 2 and older and is accessible to everyone. Two 18-hole courses, Paradise Falls and Lost Lagoon, will have families and golfers of all ages swinging for hole-in-ones as they wind through the dynamically designed course complete with waterfalls, rocky alcoves and statuettes paying homage to Jupiter and South Florida. The Paradise Falls course is wheelchair and stroller accessible, so everyone can play. Make a night of it and enjoy a snack from the Burger Shack and a sweet treat from 3 Scoops, home to hand-spun milkshakes.

For the adult who would like to catch a round without the kids in tow, the Abacoa Golf Club is an A-plus public golf facility a short distance from the spring training action. A five-minute walk from Roger Dean Stadium, Abacoa Golf Club is one of the premiere public golf courses in Palm Beach County, boasting a Joe Lee-designed course with sloping fairways, multi-tiered bunkers and water to swallow the errant shot. Complete with a large putting area and a natural grass driving range to warm-up, as well as a bar and grill to grab a bite and drink, the club is a great way to spend one of the Red Birds’ away games.
