The artful cuisine of Chef Fabrizio Aielli, owner of Sea Salt, is always a stunning treat for the palate and the eye. Just in time for holiday gift giving, the Naples chef shares personal stories, cooking techniques and more than 75 recipes in a cookbook, simply titled Sea Salt: New Venetian Cooking on the Florida Coast (Story Farm, 2014). The book, co-authored by Chelle Koster Walton, is a beautiful work of art, with gorgeous images by photographer Vanessa Rogers lighting up the pages. Recipes range from starters, soups and salads, to pasta, fish, meat and poultry, to desserts. Readers can learn how to make Aielli’s Pan-Seared Black Grouper with Black Truffle Butter, Best Chicken Ever, Sea Salt’s famous Lobster Reuben and more, along with some signature cocktails, like the Naples Negroni and the Sea Salt Sidecar. Keep in mind, though, you may be tempted to keep the handsome tome safe on the coffee table and out of the way of kitchen splatters. Sea Salt includes a foreword by award-winning food author Colman Andrews, former editor of Saveur, editor in chief of The Daily Meal, and author of numerous acclaimed culinary books.
