Next weekend, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach is playing host to the first annual “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” and the wildly popular Burger Bash. I’m dreaming of a Foie Gras Torchon burger …
First, the Burger Bash. This is one of the Food Network’s South Beach Wine & Food Festival‘s most popular events (naturally, it’s sold out every year) and it’s held beachside at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach on Feb. 25. If you’re one of the lucky ones who have snagged tickets, expect to see some of the nation’s top chefs grilling up a storm. The hotel’s executive sous chef, Oscar Vides (pictured above with Rachael Ray), may have an ace up his sleeve—his Foie Gras Torchon burger with (mmm…) black truffle tater tots. If you don’t have tickets, the hotel is offering the Grill & Chill event (no tickets required) at its DiLido Beach Club Feb. 24-26. Check out the daily specials, including the foie gras burger, and peer at the Burger Bash festivities through huge telescopes…it’s the next best thing to being there.
On Feb. 26, the hotel will host the first annual “The Best Thing I Ever Ate” featuring emcee Duff Goldman from Food Network’s Ace of Cakes reality show, local celebs and chefs showcasing some of their most memorable culinary experiences.
