Blast from the Past Party at Marco Island Historical Society

Bring out those floral prints, bell-bottom jeans, and platform shoes. It’s time to celebrate Marco Island’s 50th anniversary at “The Party Like It’s 1965” Shindig. The Marco Island Historical Society is throwing the themed party on Saturday, November 14, at the Rose History Auditorium.

The fun-filled night will include a DJ, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. The venue will be transformed to the past with lava lamps, flowers, and mirror balls. Dinner and dancing under the stars will include music from The Exit 101 Band (named after the interstate 75 exit leading to Naples and Marco). There will be a silent auction with items donated from Island businesses and residents that include restaurant and vacation packages, one-of-a-kind items and other surprise gifts. Part of the proceeds from “The Party Like It’s 1965” Shindig entrance fee will go towards the Society’s Endowment Fund and the CATapult Campaign, which is dedicated to bringing the Key Marco Cat and other related artifacts back to the Museum. This is going to be a party to remember.

·      Space is limited; so make your reservations as soon as possible. The night will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and dancing at 7 p.m and end at 10 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person.
