Local residents will have a rare opportunity to view the Talisman Crown at the De Beers Diamond Jewellers shop, located in the Waterside Shops, until the end of the month. The crown, created in 2012 to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee, is laden with 974 diamonds and features a spectacular 73-carat rough diamond placed at the top of the crown. This will be the last chance for residents to view the crown, which was originally meant to be dismantled after two weeks, before its disassembly after completing its tour in Naples.
In addition to the crown, the shop will also be displaying the Talisman Wonder, a piece created in 2010 to express the beauty and unique nature of the collection that features over 691 diamonds, totaling 21 carats, along with its exclusive Talisman High Jewellery and Master Diamonds collections. The shop is also hosting a private in-store viewing event on Thursday, December 15 from 7-8:30 p.m. where guests can enjoy champagne and canapés while browsing the latest collections, which will include a variety of earrings, medallions, pendants, and rings.
Named for a time when a jewel was believed to be a protective talisman, the Talisman High Jewellery collection recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and features pieces characterized by a palette of brilliant, earth-tone colors and a unique combination of rough, textured diamonds and smooth, polished diamonds that introduces an organic touch into a line of modern jewelry.
The Talisman Wondrous Sphere (pictured below), an example of one of the jewelry line’s signature pieces, is perfect for the person consumed by wanderlust. A one-of-a-kind jewelry piece made of white gold, the articulated sphere features a central rough diamond surrounded by a three-dimensional sequence of diamonds set on orbiting rings, providing a rare sense of motion and movement fitting for any explorer.
The Talisman Crown, Wonder, and high jewelry collections will be on display in-store at the Waterside Shops exclusively throughout December.
