Destination: Staycation – The Ritz PB

The Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach is fun anytime of year. But during summer, it offers extra enticements to lure guests to its glittering digs.

The package that got my attention was Beauty & the Beach, where overnight guests get a $200 credit (per night of stay!) to Eau Spa by Cornelia … just because.  The beauty bucks can be used on any of the summer treatments, including a Slimming Silk Infusion for the body and a silkening Kerastase treatment for the hair and scalp. The spa is also launching a new, fun pedicure, the Pure Fiji Pina Colada, which involves a coconut milk soak, coconut-sugar scrub and—naturally—the eponymous cocktail.

Lots of other stuff going on at the Ritz. The summer camp for kids comes in several cool categories sure to please any teen and tween: modeling, tech, surfing and art, with extra programs in film, beauty and tattoos.

On the dining front, Angle has resurfaced as a farm-to-table concept with sustainable, organic food that is amazingly fresh. Definitely an improvement over the old Angle. The more casual restaurant, Temple Orange, just debuted a menu of citrus-based dishes (pictured above). Be sure to taste the Signature Jam, made with local oranges and orange liqueur … and take some home while you’re at it. It’s offered for sale in the gift shop.
