For a Third Street South breakfast treat, head over to Jane’s Garden Café. Open daily at 8 a.m., this is one of the busiest breakfast and brunch spots in the pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, with a vast menu to keep just about everyone happy – there is a reason it took home Best Breakfast in NI’s Dining Awards. Since this is an eggs benedict-based sort of post, we’re zeroing in on the benedict offerings, of which there are many. Served with home fried potatoes or fresh fruit, diners can go classic with Canadian bacon (Ellie Mae’s Classic, $13.50), add a touch of seafood with either salmon (The Tartan, $16.50) or topped with a crab cake (Chef Luis’ Seafood Favorite, $17), go sans meat with sautéed spinach, tomato and avocado (Jane’s Vegetarian, $14), or go lo-carb and gluten free version with Portobello mushroom and spinach ($14). No matter which eggs benedict variation hitting your plate, your taste buds and tummy will thank you.

  • Jane’s Garden Café is open daily for breakfast, starting at 8 a.m. For more information, call 239-261-2253 or visit janesnaples.com.

California Eggs Benedict - Three60 Market - National Eggs Benedict Day - Naples breakfast spots

California Eggs Benedict from Three60 Market

Three60 Market is a little slice of flavor tucked along a tributary of Haldeman Creek. The upscale market/eatery is great place to find some prepared foods, grab a drink and bite, especially for breakfast. Open for breakfast (8-10:30 a.m.) and mid-morning breakfast (10:30-11:30 a.m.) daily, except Wednesdays , the egg-centric offerings are plentiful, especially of the benedict persuasion, with four versions making the menu. For those with a hearty appetite, the Texas ($14) is a must, topped with house-roasted beef tenderloin and a spicy hollandaise sauce. If a healthy kick is your thing, the California ($10, pictured above) is the bite for you, topped with sauted kale, tomatoes and avocado, while the Florentine ($9), features fresh spinach.

  • Three60 Markets breakfast is served from 8-11:30 a.m. Thursday to Tuesday (mid-morning breakfast is served from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on weekdays). For more information, call 239-732-7331 or visit three60market.com.

Looking for a bite with a view? Coast Restaurant at the Edgewater Beach Hotel has those eggs benedict cravings under control with some rather breathtaking views to boot. Two versions make the menu: traditional ($17), topped with poached eggs, Canadian bacon and hollandaise; and a lobster version ($24), swapping the bacon for poached Maine lobster, making for a truly decadent breakfast experience. Do yourself a favor and order a side of stone ground grits ($10) – you won’t be disappointed.

  • Coast serves breakfast seven days a week from 7-11 a.m. For more information and reservations, call 239-403-2000, or visit edgewaternaples.com/coast.
