Dine, Wine and Sleep Divine

The gourmand’s ultimate fantasy is realized as Miami’s notable South Beach Wine & Food Festival launches on February 21. Presented by Food & Wine magazine and hosted by Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida and Florida International University, this four-day affair slakes participants with flavorful food and drink.

Take a seat as celebrated restaurants and chefs outshine any dinner you’ve ever had. You can count on these killer meals to do the deed: an intimate wine dinner by House of Mandela, a refreshing vegetarian creation by Nobu Matsuhisa, a homey Italian feast by Giada De Laurentiis and Casa Tua chef Paolo Del Papa, and a sensational meat-centric spread by Michael Symon.

Dining kicks it up a notch at parties like “Moët Hennessy’s The Q” kickoff with Paula Deen and her two sons where top BBQ chefs from all around the country smoke up delicious chicken, ribs and brisket dishes to be married with edgy cocktails.

Well-aware of its late night offerings, the festival also features an exquisite line-up of brunches for morning stragglers. Chefs such as Bobby Flay and Daniel Boulud craft perfectly light but filling meals to start your days. And for extra brain food, seminars are offered throughout the festival, enlightening on the subjects of beer, wine and cheese.
The James Royal Hotel - South Beach Wine & Food Festival - Miami
But amid all dining and wining festivities, food coma is bound to strike. Fortunately, South Beach welcomed a new addition to its neighborhood this past November in the form of a beautifully sleek hotel named The James Royal Palm. With its location and exquisite offerings, the hotel is a promising treat for the festival’s bloated and sleepy. Designed by world-famous designer Lauren Rottet, the hotel bears a contemporary flair with art deco touches. And there’s more to it than the outside: the hotel curates a Cultural Collection to share emerging art with guests through unique exhibitions, offers the expertise of Miami’s Cody Patrick in workout sessions, and treats guests to complimentary bicycles and board offerings.
