Freedom Fund Gala

It’s hard to believe it’s been more than 55 years since Martin Luther King Jr. Made his electrifying “I Have a Dream” speech at the march on Washington in August 1963. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) of Collier County is celebrating that historic march along with the organization’s 110th anniversary at its thirty sixth annual freedom fund gala on February 23 at the Naples Grande Beach Resort. Naples mayor Bill Barnett will begin the festivities as the live auctioneer. The evening will continue with dinner, a poetry recital, a keynote speech, music, and dancing. Tickets are $200.
