Masur, a distinguished professor of American studies and history at Rutgers University, will review pivotal presidential elections in the United States history, including elections in 1800, 1864 and 1932 and will discuss how studying the past can help us as we move toward an uncertain future. Masur is the author of many books on American political and cultural history including, most recently, “The Sum of Our Dreams: A Concise History of America.” His essays and editorials have appeared in the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and Slate.
