ROBIN COOK LUNCHEON

Dr. Cook was drafted into the Navy, where he attended submarine school and navy diving school. Following a tour of duty in the South Pacific on a ballistic missile submarine, and the flagship of the Pacific submarine fleet, he was transferred to the Deep Submergence Systems Project (Sea Lab), where he trained as a navy aquanaut medical officer. While in that position, he participated in research in diving and wrote his first book. He completed his military service and was discharged from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander. From that first novel on, Dr. Cook’s intentions have been by using entertainment in novels and movies that have included; Coma, Shock, Seizure, Toxin, Vector, Chromosome 6, Fatal Cure, Marker, Nano, Cell, Charlatans, Pandemic among others, and now his newest novel Genesis which will be available for purchase at the luncheon. He divides his time mostly between Naples, Florida, his home base; Waterville Valley, New Hampshire; and Boston, Massachusetts.
