Explore Naples’ oldest house under the cover of dark with the Full Moon Tours at the Historic Palm Cottage. Beginning at 8 p.m., the docent-guided tours leads history buffs through the cottage, ending in The Norris Gardens as the full moon fills the night sky.
Built in 1895, Palm Cottage is oldest house in Naples and was registered as a landmark in the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Now, the cottage-turned-museum is filled with period antiques, giving visitors a glimpse of what turn of the century—twentieth-century that is—life was like along the Paradise Coast. The full moon tours give visitors added insight into what living in Naples at the turn of the century was like, before electricity came to town (electricity was not readily available in Naples until the 1920s).
- New in 2014, tours embark on full moons every month from January through April promptly at 8 p.m. Remaining dates include March 15 and April 15.
- Admission is $10 per person.
