Learning at the Holocaust Museum & Education Center

Devote some time this August to learn some important history. The Holocaust Museum and Education Center of Southwest Florida will be holding three informative events:

On Thursday, August 8 at 6 p.m., the museum will host the final session of its World War II Focus series, which features historian and guest speaker Dan Moran. The topic will be “The Planned Invasion of Japan.”

On Friday, August 9 at 12:30 p.m., the center will show the documentary World War II: Saving the Reality, which was produced by The World War II Foundation. The film takes viewers on a tour of Kenneth W. Rendell’s Museum of World War II, which is located in Boston, Massachusetts.

Throughout the week of August 5, WWII veterans who choose to visit the museum will admitted free of charge. On August 10 and 11, the museum will host its annual celebration The Spirit of ’45.
