Live & Local | The Wholetones

Artis—Naples is shining the spotlight on the local music scene with its new concert series Live & Local. Concertgoers are invited to take to the dance floor as the Daniels Pavilion is transformed into a lounge, with light bites and a full bar serving partiers throughout the night.

On October 3, local band The Wholetones takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. A mix of bluegrass, folk, jazz and hard rock, the Wholetones nixes power, opting for the acoustic set in its stead. The four-piece set includes Alex Dorris on the cello, guitar, banjo and vocals; Taylor Freydberg on the guitar, harmonica and vocals; Russ Depa on the upright bass; and Mayo Coates on percussion; each pulling in a different musical background, creating a truly unique sound. With musical influences as varied as Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Old Crow Medicine Show, Iron and Wine, and Hank Williams III (Hank 3), The Wholetones bring a verve to each song that’s rooted in soul.

  • Tickets cost $10 per person, which includes one cocktail.
  • Doors open at 7 p.m.
