Next-Gen Perspective: Visions of the Everglades

From November 1 through the end of December, the Museum of the Everglades will be exhibiting the nature and wildlife photography of Quinn Hiaasen, son of Florida author Carl Hiaasen. “Every couple of months we switch out our front gallery exhibit, so I’m always looking for new up-and-coming artists to highlight,” says Jennifer Perry, manager at the Museum of the Everglades. “This young gentleman has an amazing talent, and he really has an interesting perspective of Florida that you can see through his photography. The father’s influence is certainly there, but shown through the eyes of a new generation.” A reception for Quinn Hiaasen’s work is scheduled for November 7.
