Bleu Provence

Naples Illustrated's Dining Awards - Best French - Bleu Provence - Homemade smoked salmon with citrus sauce, strawberry, grapefruit, micro arugula and peppercorn at Bleu Provence

Homemade smoked salmon with citrus sauce, strawberry, grapefruit, micro arugula and peppercorn at Bleu Provence.

Take your appetite on a magic carpet ride to provincial France: Bleu Provence (239-261-8239) re-creates the experience for all the senses, from the moment you walk into the charming blue and white cottage-style restaurant in Crayton Cove. Since 1999, Jacques and Lysielle Cariot have greeted guests with warmth, wine and dishes French-kissed with novelty and genius. At lunch, there’s quiche, quinoa and burrata salad and grilled eggplant. Dinner specialties run the gamut from Provençal fish soup, arugula and smoked salmon salad to sautéed wild pink shrimp, duck confit and crêpe suzette with mandarin sorbet.

Honorable Mention

Le Lafayette French Gourmet
Experience classic French cuisine in a setting reminiscent of a Parisian sidewalk café— sans the traffic. The signature dish at this side-street secret off Third Avenue South is bourride a la mariniere—a sauté of clams, mussels, shrimp, grouper and spinach. (lelafayette.com, 239-403-7861)
