Marco Island is getting in the on the growing craft beer movement when the inaugural Marco Island Craft Beer Festival takes place on Saturday, November 7, at the Esplanade. While the tried-and-true beer festivals are all about small samples and lines—long lines—to fill said sampling cups, the Marco Island Craft Beer Festival is taking a different tack: limited to just 300 guests, the festival will celebrate the brews from six Florida breweries, which will then be paired with bites from six Marco Island restaurants.
On tap at this inaugural suds and bites party will be Fat Point Brewing from Punta Gorda, Motorworks Brewing from Bradenton, 3 Daughters Brewing from St. Petersburg, Big Top Brewing Co. hailing from Sarasota, Odessa’s Big Storm Brewing Co., and Naples’ own Naples Beach Brewery. As for eats, look for expertly paired bites from these Marco Island eateries: CJ’s on the Bay, Chop 239, Konrad’s Tropical Grille, Mango’s Dockside Bistro, Speakeasy, and Sandbar.
- The party runs from 1-4 p.m. General admission tickets cost $50; VIP tickets cost $80, which gives early access to the party (12 p.m.), an air conditioned lounge, as well as supplemental tastings and craft beer selections. Tickets are on presale at the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce (cash, check, or credit card), or CJ’s on the Bay (cash or check). For more information, visit marcoislandchamber.org.
