Whether you are looking for that perfect photo op with Santa or just some good, old-fashioned holiday cheer, naplesillustrated.com presents a short list of yuletide festivities in your neighborhood.
On December 20 the snow will fall at The Village on Venetian Bay. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in attendance for photo ops and a final run down of the Christmas list. Live holiday entertainment will bring a festive mood to the bay with carolers singing to mark the occasion, and Mrs. Claus leading a holiday-themed story time. The holiday fun runs from 5-9 p.m., with snow beginning at 7 p.m.
The holiday spirit takes to the water on December 16 when decorated boats make their way down Venetian Bay. From 5-8 p.m., The Village will transform into a waterside winter wonderland, complete with live entertainment (Dickens-inspired carolers), a snow show, a magician and balloon artists, stories with Mrs. Claus, and special appearance by Santa. The boat parade begins at 6:30 p.m., with decorated boats cruising along the tranquil waters adorned with thousands of lights twinkling from bow to stern—and reflected off the sea too.
On December 18, Christmas and The Village on Venetian Bay will go to the dogs for Santa Paws holiday celebration. Bring the pooch and pups for a four-pawed celebration, complete with Santa/Fido photo ops and live entertainment. Also on hand, adorable adoptable pets from the Humane Society of Naples. As an added bonus, on December 18 and 21, The Village on Venetian Bay will donate 10 percent of all goods and dining expenses purchased to the Humane Society of Naples; simply drop off your receipt at one of two drop boxes and a check will made out to help the four-pawed out this year.

As part of The Village on Venetian Bay’s community outreach, throughout December the Village Gives Back Program will donate 10 percent of all goods and dining expenses purchased on specific dates to different nonprofits organizations. The dates and organizations are as follows:
- December 3-7: Community School of Naples
- December 11-15: Village School of Naples
This holiday season, J.McLaughlin will do its part in the community, donating 15 percent of sales to local organizations throughout the December shopping season with Sip & Shop events. Not only will shoppers get the chance to shop the latest Resort Collection, but will enjoy light refreshments, all while knowing that a portion of the proceeds will benefit those in our community in need. The yuletide cheer continues downtown when the popular Evening on Fifth event gets a holiday makeover December 18 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. TUBA Christmas and a Holiday Evening on Fifth will add a deep-throated—you guessed it—tuba beat to the festivities with live holiday music and an overall party atmosphere as the avenue twinkles in its holiday finery.
