Rookery Bay’s Eighth Annual Juried Painting Exhibition

The Friends of Rookery Bay and the United Arts Council of Collier County present the eighth annual Juried Painting Exhibition from November 19 through January 30. With a theme dedicated to landscape, local artists from Collier and Lee Counties submitted works that represent the national estuarine research reserve’s mission, which is the preservation of this vital marine ecosystem.

Geoff Hamel, Painting and Drawing Instructor at Florida Gulf Coast University, juried each piece of art, ensuring that the collection on display at Rookery Bay spoke most acutely to artistic expression and mission of the reserve.

An opening reception of the Juried Painting Exhibition will take place November 19 from 5:30-7 p.m. Space is limited and reservations are strongly recommended.

  • Admission for the opening reception costs $3; general admission from November 20-January 30 costs $5.
