Beat the heat—and get fresh produce and local artisanal products—at the Shoppes at Vanderbilt’s indoor farmer’s market. The two-year-old, 52-week-per-year festive fair normally blankets the parking lot each Saturday, but organizers have made some exciting changes. Through October, it has shifted to occupying an enormous retail space near the perennial breakfast favorite Toast (read: fully air-conditioned), and, most significantly, it added Friday hours and an Art Walk Friday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. Starting the weekend with good food, good art and sweat-free strolling? We’ll go for a bite of that.
