The lofty dreams of Scott Lutgert have materialized into high-rise accomplishments. Through his firm, the Lutgert Companies, he has completed 17 luxury beachfront high-rises in Park Shore Beach, and eight upscale residential towers in Bonita Bay. And while other businessmen are leaving work early to sneak in a quick 18 holes, Lutgert is staying late to make sure they have a place to do it. His company also completed two luxury golf course communities: Estuary at Grey Oaks in Naples and Linville Ridge in North Carolina (where he and his wife, Simone, spend part of their summers). Lutgert’s reach spans shopping centers and office buildings throughout Southwest Florida as well, including staples like the charming The Village on Venetian Bay and trendy, newer Mercato. The projects are varied, but Lutgert asserts they share one element: “the fun of seeing each develop from plans to reality. And then the satisfaction of seeing residents and customers enjoy them.” Scott Lutgert’s late father and company founder, Raymond, moved his family to Naples in 1964 when there was only one stoplight. “As the town has grown, it has kept its unique sense of community,” he says. “Many in Naples have been generous over the years and new residents continue to jump in and contribute. So to me, although Naples is much larger, it has kept its core values and special personality.”
