“You’ll shoot your eye out!”
In my book, that is the most memorable line from any Christmas movie ever made. The annual viewing of A Christmas Story, the classic coming-of-age tale of Ralphie in the 1940s has become a family tradition throughout the nation, enough so to garner a 24-hour marathon on TBS. Now, humorist Jean Shepherd’s immortal memoir is coming to the Paradise Coast in a more tangible sense.
The Marco Players Children’s Theater will present this Christmas classic December 20-22. Enjoy all your favorite scenes and characters in live action! The Bumpus hounds, Soap Blindness, “Oooh fuuudge!,” Scut Farkus, “Fra-gee-lay,” the Easter Bunny costume; it’s all there in all its dysfunctional glory!
- Showtimes are as follows: December 20 and 21 at 7 p.m.; December 22 at 3 p.m.
- Tickets cost $20 for adults, $10 for children.
