Artis—Naples and the Naples Philharmonic are emerging from summer hibernation with a series of concerts and educational musical activities in September dedicated to the younger audience members.
For children ages 3-9, the Magic Carpet concert series takes music appreicaiton to new heights. Presented by specific musical instrument groups, Naples Philharmonic perform 45-minute concerts, followed by a question and answer session, where inquisitive minds can find out more about the instruments behind the music. The Magic Carpet concert series schedule and theme is as follows:
- September 25, brass instruments will take the stage, featuring songs from Mary Poppins, Frozen, and more Disney classics at 9:45 and 11:15 a.m.—School Series only.
- September 26, the brass instruments will take to the Daniels Pavilion featuring Disney favorites for the whole family at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $8.

For students:
From September 18 to October 16, Conductor Yaniv Segal and the Naples Philharmonic will introduce the world of classical music and the orchestra to third grade students with the annual Young Person’s Concert. Presenting Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairytale, The Snow Queen, with music by Nicholas Jacobson-Larson, the interactive performances help teach students about rhythm, melody and harmony, as well as the family of instruments that make up an orchestra ensemble.
From October 6-9, the Naples Philharmonic will celebrate the new school year with its annual “Trip to the Phil.” Welcoming local fifth grade and middle school students to Hayes Hall, the Naples Philharmonic, led by Conductor Yaniv Segal, will deliver a full classical music performance, including selections by Dvorak, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, and more.
