He has performed more than 1,800 surgeries using this technique, including Southwest Florida’s first same-day outpatient total hip replacement. He performed this history-making operation at Seaside Surgery Center, Southwest Florida’s only facility designed and built for outpatient total joint replacements, which he co-founded.

After completing his residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, Dr. Zehr joined the staff of that prestigious facility in 1992. In 1998, he was tapped to serve as the medical director and head of orthopedic surgery at Cleveland Clinic’s Naples location and eventually became its executive director. When the Clinic departed Naples, Dr. Zehr remained and opened his private practice.
