White Pizza
Andreas Singer, executive chef at Tanglewood in the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, shares a recipe for White Pizza, one of the delightful choices created in the restaurant’s new brick oven.
Ingredients
2 heirloom tomatoes
2 oz. extra virgin olive oil
5 oz. herb ricotta cheese
3 oz. minced garlic
8 oz. pizza dough
2 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
Micro basil for garnish
Preparation
1. Roll pizza dough out to 10 inches
2. Brush the pizza dough with extra virgin olive oil and chopped garlic
3. Cut the heirloom tomatoes about ¼ inches thick and place on the pizza
4. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper
5. Take the ricotta herb mixture and put teaspoon size drops of ricotta around the pizza as much or as little as you prefer
6. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and place in a pizza oven at 500 degrees for about 10 minutes
7. Once pizza dough is golden brown cut and garnish with micro basil and serve
