Josephine V. Jasper MD, FACE

Board certified in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, and internal medicine, Dr. Josephine V. Jasper has practiced for 34 years. She’s an expert in thyroid disorders, thyroid cancer surveillance, and diabetes. A recipient of the National Physician Recognition Award in Diabetes Care, Dr. Jasper teaches patients and families to understand their diabetic condition. She also has many years of experience in treating pituitary disorders, hormonal imbalance, and calcium/parathyroid disorders.

Dr. Jasper is proud to participate in continuing education, and her diabetes research is published in medical journals. She is an advocate for patient care and, while in New Jersey, served as a county president for the medical society and a delegate to the state medical society to ensure and promote patient care. She’s also taught high school students and pre-medical and medical doctors about social, economic, and diagnostic approaches to patient care, and has received the America Top Doctor Award for the last 20 years in endocrinology, diabetes, thyroid, and metabolism.

In private practice in Marco Island, Dr. Jasper maintains medical licenses in Florida, New York, and New Jersey. She’s on staff member at NCH, and is currently the chief of endocrinology diabetes, and metabolism. Dr. Jasper remains on staff at two major hospitals in New Jersey and maintains a satellite office in New Jersey for telemedicine/office visits.

Dedicated to community service, Dr. Jasper was named Woman of the Year 2014 by the Italian American Culture Inc. and in The Trademark Woman of Distinction Honors edition in Naples for dedication, positive peer ratings, leadership, and professional excellence. Dr. Jasper hosts the Sugar Hour radio show with Bob Ladd that she created and broadcasts on 98.1 Marco Island, 91.5 Everglade City, and 90.9 Key West FM, every weekend to empower people to stay healthy.

About her patient-care philosophy, Dr. Jasper says, “I strive to help my patients live to a very advanced age, stay healthy, and avoid medical complications.” Her daughter Josephine, who is an electrical engineer, STEM teacher, songwriter, and linguist is a source of pride as is grandson Peregrine, son-in- law Willam Lo, and Peter Strungis, whom she calls the rock of her life.
