Flamingle Friday to feature upcoming Galapagos Islands excursion

$25.00Everglades Wonder Gardens’ Flamingle Friday on Jan. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. will feature an informative presentation on the Wonder Gardens’ upcoming excursion to the Galapagos Islands.
Led by Wonder Gardens President and CEO Thomas Hecker, the lecture will cover anticipated highlights and a voyage itinerary for the Galapagos Islands excursion, as well as stories from past excursions to Brazil and Belize. Thomas Hecker and his wife, Jennifer, have led nature expeditions worldwide for organizations such as Naples Botanical Garden, Conservancy of Southwest Florida and the Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center.
An intimate group of 26 to 32 guests will set sail May 15 on the M/V Evolution and return home May 24. The voyage will include hiking along the coast of Genovesa Island, snorkeling in the extinct volcanic cone of Devil’s Crown, seeing first-hand the conservation efforts at the Charles Darwin Research Station and more.
The Flamingle Friday lecture, which includes complimentary beverages and light hors d’oeuvres, is $20 for Everglades Wonder Gardens members and $25 for nonmembers.
