French malletier Goyard has been on the It list of celebrities and social stars since 1853. And indeed, there is nothing quite as coveted as the Goyard steamer trunk … But these days, such things are not exactly practical for travel (though I understand they fit perfectly in the back of a vintage Bugatti), so the new must-have is the lightweight Goyard Saint Louis tote. With its interlocking chevron design on canvas, and an attached wallet, it has long been a favorite among the international set and has a bigger celebrity following than the L.A. Lakers.
