John Galliano is probably one of the most imaginative fashion designers ever—and that’s saying a lot. This month, his creative genius will come to Claridge’s as Galliano (for Dior) unveils his “Under the Sea” Christmas tree. Divine.
The tree actually went up over the weekend, to the delight of guests. Instead of tinsel and ornaments, this tree is made with sea anemones, starfish, coral, seahorses and other creatures of the deep. It’s certainly a departure from last year’s gorgeous—and slightly eerie—frozen forest.
If you’re planning a trip to London (and what better time to do so than Christmas), stop by the Mayfair landmark hotel and check out the master’s work. Or better yet, check in and have a daily “aquatic encounter.”
