Luminary Hotel & Co. and its downtown Fort Myers venues are closing out summer by hosting live music and songwriter performances during the 10-day Island Hopper Songwriter Fest. The Southwest Florida music festival features more than 60 performances by Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) singer-songwriters from Nashville and across the country, including free shows and special ticketed experiences.
Island Hopper Presents: Stars on the River
On September 23, Luminary Hotel & Co. kicks off its Island Hopper Songwriter Fest programming with Platinum-selling country duo LOCASH and rising country artist Alexandra Kay live at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater along the Caloosahatchee River. Concertgoers can show their TIXR ticket at any Luminary Hotel & Co. dining outlet on September 23 to receive 10 percent-off their bill. Island Hopper Songwriter Fest: Nate Bass Dinner Experience
The festival continues at The Workshop Culinary Theater with an intimate dinner and live performance by British singer-songwriter Nate Bass, lead vocalist of United Kingdom country trio Essex County and a rising solo artist on Nashville’s Music Row, on September 24.
The evening pairs Bass’ performance with a chef-curated three-course dinner beginning with poached pear salad, followed by a choice of salmon with pineapple salsa and confetti rice, airline chicken with tomato chutney and roasted herb potatoes, or a vegetarian entrée. Berry panna cotta with vanilla Chantilly completes the meal. A cash bar will be available throughout the event. Tickets start at $110 per person and are available through TIXR.com.
Island Hopper Songwriter Fest: Free Pool Deck Concert
Luminary Hotel & Co.’s fourth-floor pool deck transforms into an Island Hopper Songwriter Fest stage for a free evening of live music September 24. Festival artists (to be announced) will perform during the sunset concert, with a full cash bar and concessions available. No tickets are required, and guests can access the fourth floor pool deck by elevator from the hotel lobby.
