Best Italian
Campiello Ristorante & Bar
Competition for Italian cuisine is tough in a town named Naples. The sheer number of Italian restaurants means chefs must finely hone their craft and take diners well beyond pizza, pasta and veal Marsala. Campiello (239-435-1166) stands heads above the rest by dint of its historic and lively courtyard setting on Third Street South and its fresh take on Italian cuisine. Each month, the restaurant showcases the specialties of a different region. On the regular menus, find balsamic-glazed Wagyu short ribs, pan-seared diver scallops with broccoli crema, penne with pulled chicken and Gorgonzola and other such delights.
